THE MISSION

“If you have built castles in the air, your work is not lost; now place the bases under them.”

Henry David Thoreau

The Oceavida Association is an international non-profit organization born from the hearts of people who soon felt an inevitable attraction to the animal world, its protection, and its conservation.

The purposes of Oceavida are aimed at the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems through the execution of international cooperation projects, scientific and research studies, and the dissemination and use of means to bring the needs of the animal world closer to anyone. In this way, we consider it imperative to contribute to more sustainable human development in collaboration with local communities, preserve biodiversity and ecosystems, and slow climate change.

Oceavida has risen up so that we can all row together towards a planet in which animal species occupy the place that has always belonged to them, a place that provides them with stability and evolves in healthy ecosystems.

We are a group passionate about fighting for animals, with an ambition and desire that always push us to want to achieve more and believe that all dreams can come true. This is just the beginning of everything to come. With your help, EVERYTHING is possible.

THERE IS HOPE, AND WHILE THERE IS HOPE, EVERYTHING IS STILL IN PLAY. LET’S BE THE WAVE THAT BECOMES A WAVE.

Humpback Whale Behavioral Project

We began in February 2023 a preliminary study of behavioral observation of
Humpback whales in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The project will be developed for 3 to 5 years during the seasons of these whales, from December to March, to learn about the evolution and correlation of their behaviors in this area with external factors (environmental and human). Help us by supporting this project directly.
